At Catholic Healthcare, celebrating and recognising the contributions, successes and milestones of our people is an important part of who we are, and we do this in a variety of personal and meaningful ways.
At our annual Inspire Leadership Conference which took place this week, we recognised another wonderful group of yearly Gold Dove Award winners in the categories of Living our Values, Innovation, People Leadership and Volunteers. We also celebrated two awards for excellence in Home (Residential Care) and Region (Home and Community Services) of the year.
The Gold Dove Awards are our highest form of employee accolade and recognise excellence in care, service and contribution right across our organisation.
Congratulations to the following 2019 Gold Dove Award winners who received their Awards from David Robinson, Chair of the Catholic Healthcare Board.

The Catholic Healthcare Innovation Award was presented to Lourdes Hospital for its Video Conferencing project. This new service was introduced to improve access to outreach services including specialist palliative care nursing, Aged Care Assessment, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. The video conferencing facility enables patients in outlying areas to consult directly with specialists and has resulted in increased access to valuable services. Team members are now also able to meet via video conference with their colleagues within the Local Area Health District - saving time and costs.
