The Trustees of Catholic Healthcare announce that Stephen Teulan has assumed the role as Chair of the Board of Catholic Healthcare Limited with effect from 25 July 2021, upon the retirement of David Robinson.
David Robinson has served as Chair of the Board for the past seven years, during which time Catholic Healthcare experienced a period of strong growth with the expansion of its aged care and home care ministries.

Stephen Teulan was appointed to the Board in 2018 and as Chair Designate in July 2020. He brings a wide range of strategic and leadership expertise to the Board with nearly two decades of experience in health and aged care organisations, in social service and social justice advocacy. His leadership experience extends across the faith-based sector, ranging from various Catholic religious congregations through to UnitingCare. Stephen brings corporate experience as a Deloitte partner and Principal at the consulting firm Nous Group, as well as public policy and government advice roles.
Stephen is familiar with governance within a bi-cameral Church structure with its mission imperatives and will oversee Catholic Healthcare as it seeks to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead in the aged care sector.
“Catholic Healthcare’s mission is particularly relevant in this current and uncertain environment with increasing demands being made on health, aged and home care services,” Stephen said.
“Catholic Healthcare is committed to its mission of promoting life in all its fullness by providing aged, health and home care services, inspired by the Catholic faith-tradition in accordance with our values of honesty, hospitality, compassion, excellence and respect.”
