The Catholic Healthcare Board is pleased to announce that Josh McFarlane has been promoted to the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Catholic Healthcare Limited.
Josh has been our Chief Operations Officer (COO) since joining 15 months ago and has successfully led the Residential Care, Home and Community and Independent Living services. Under Josh’s leadership there have been significant improvements during challenging times, in particular the COVID-19 pandemic and complex government reforms.
Josh has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead according to CHL’s mission and its values. He has also been a key contributor to the development of our strategy, and he is well-placed to lead its implementation and to continue to improve the lives of those we care for and serve.
“…I am honoured to serve such an amazing organisation with a rich history in serving the community. As Catholic Healthcare’s Chief Operating Officer, I have had the opportunity to work with residents, customers, families, employees, the community, and government to improve our services for older people. I am excited to apply these experiences to leading the next phase of Catholic Healthcare’s development”.
Josh brings a wealth of experience to the CEO role, specifically a deep understanding and passion for the Australian aged care sector after holding several leadership roles across some of Australia’s largest aged care providers over the past seven years. Josh also brings a broad range of experience from outside the aged care sector, including mining, manufacturing, finance, and management consulting, including ASX-listed organisations.
“…I would like to sincerely thank Karen for her leadership and the foundation she has set to continue from. I’m very grateful for her contribution to CHL’s legacy.”
Those who have met Josh will know he is a passionate and authentic leader who is constantly striving for better outcomes for those we serve. Please join us in congratulating Josh and supporting him in his new role.
