Home Care Package Costs
A Home Care Package (HCP) is a government-subsidised program designed for older individuals with more complex care needs that go beyond what the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) can provide.
While most costs are covered by your package subsidy, you also have the option to enhance your care with services tailored to your needs as a self-funded individual. This flexibility ensures you get the support you deserve, when you need, how you need it.
HCP Benefits
- Choose a single provider to meet all your service needs
- Access a broad range of adaptable services as care needs evolve (HCP currently has 4 levels and will expand to 8 levels with the Support at Home initiative starting in July 2025)
- Contribute to care costs with an income-tested fee, capped over your lifetime
- Care and package management options included

Commonwealth Home Support Programme Costs
Catholic Healthcare offers home care services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), providing basic support for low-level needs, allowing you to live independently at home. Eligibility is determined through an assessment arranged via My Aged Care, with services limited to those approved in the initial assessment.
